Smile and the whole world coughs up its collective skull

I'm sure they truly feel this way, I merely want to throw up:

September 12 can be our ongoing reminder of those positive emotions, a way to remember and repeat that surge of warmth and togetherness.

This year we're launching a simple experiment to create a cascade of positive emotions on the 12th: Let's each commit to making ten people smile on that day.

Michele isn't interested either.

Dear Sweet Andrea,
I stopped by to read some of your comments and they seem have more venom and bitterness than usual. Things not going well in your world old girl? I read your policy on banning comments. I think it is fair and certainly not one sided. However, I do believe it is just a little hypocritical to decorate your Home Page with, You can buy me this, You can give me money, but DON'T give me any crap! Oh, that's right, "Don't like it? That's just Too. Fucking. Bad." Power to dismiss anything that offends! Not in the real world Dear! May I quote you? "I am the sole proprietor and absolute ruler of this website. What I say here goes." While that is true, let me remind you that you are not ruler of all web sites. Were one so inclined to post comments referring to the lovable Andrea, there are many forums to voice those opinions for many to read and I dare say many to agree. Using your own words "you have offended too many to remember" and also added for good measure "you don't care". I wager "the many" do remember but I seriously doubt they care either!) "Behavior I would not tolerate in a real-life relationship will not be tolerated here" I can't imagine you in a real life relationship. That requires caring about someone other than yourself and I think you have made it very clear it's all about you, right? A real-life relationship for you would require a partner of like temperament. The only thing that comes to mind is a rabid badger! A few more quotes: I am female" (Female what?) "I am not: nurturing" (Got that right!) "your mother" (Blessed is the child!) "kind and loving, patient, ready to listen to your troubles" (Absolutely missed that in your comments!) "your psychiatrist" (Don't need one!) "your priest" (Thank God!) "your grandma" (She's dead!) "your girlfriend"(I am forever grateful!) "your muse" (No, but you do Amuse!) "If you are a thin-skinned, fragile-egoed sort" ( Wake up, Andrea that's you!) "I suggest you make this visit to my blog your last" (I can't visit your site anymore? Oh, whine, whine and whine some more! Wait! Does that make me eligible for dinner and flowers?) Now you can direct your "bloodthirsty" wrath at me, ban my comments or both, whatever makes you feel the most…..er, hell you only feel mean and nasty! Pick one! I LIVE on the corner of "tough and shit" so you can't offend me! I would have to place some value on your opinion for that to happen. Sorry kiddo! Not in this lifetime! To me you are about as intimidating as a cloudy day. By the way, are you a Christian? Just kidding! I've read your comments on Christianity. You may be the Anti-Christ for all I know! Best wishes in your pissed off little world. Must be tough to carry the burden of all that anger and bitterness! But I have to admit you do it well! Stay strong sister and let no love or compassion enter your "DOMAIN"! YOU RULE, QUEEN OF MEAN! What a wicked "WEB" you weave! If you choose not to post this on your site, it just might show up on a site near you. Who knows, it might cause other readers to come to your site just to witness for themselves what a pompous ass you are! If you choose to respond, please no profanity. I am so fragile and easily offended! NOT!!!

Thanks for the laugh, "Timid"! You do a great imitation of one of the more unstable types of troll -- the one who starts out attempting arch, brittle wit ("Dear Sweet Andrea") and gets progressively more and more hysterical until one wonders how they managed to continue typing what with all the spittle covering their keyboards. A spot-on spoof of the sort of person who gloms onto feelgood pablum like "September 12th."

Posted by: Andrea Harris at September 10, 2003 at 09:01 PM

What! No Profanity? It hurts me to admit this but I am surprised. That hints of restraint and I really didn’t think that was possible for you. Congrats!” “The one who starts out attempting arch, brittle wit?” I see it as curved sharp wit. The Dear Sweet Andrea was sincere. Well sort of! “Hysterical”? Nice spin! Sounds a lot better that “truth” doesn’t it? I never lean over the keyboard so that eliminates the spittle problem. “a spot-on proof of the sort of person who gloms onto feelgood pablum Like “September 12th”???? I am familiar with your expertise in garbleism so I am sure that sentence has a deep philosophical meaning. Wud ya splain it tuh me? “You do a great imitation of one of the more unstable types of troll” This is one with which I will take offense!!! I am not an imitation!! Not to be out done let me say you do a great imitation of an intellectual!! I bow to the QUEEN!!

Oh -- you were serious? Okay, rewind--

Now now. Take your meds. They won't start working until you've been taking them regularly, you know that. Just ignore those voices; soon they will be down to a dull buzz, and you'll be able to concentrate on your job at the mattress factory.

Let's each commit to making ten people smile on that day

I smile every time an Islamofascist freak gets blown away. Let's commit to making me smile a few thousand times that day.

Please tell me you are dog tired, Knee wobbling drunk, have writer's block or you just passed a peach seed because if that is the best I can expect in return from you it's not worth another post from me!

Oh good.

Let the church bells ring, The wicked witch is dead! My work here is done!

Posted by: Ms Timid at September 10, 2003 at 10:36 PM

Buh-bye. (Yawns.)

Posted by: Andrea Harris at September 10, 2003 at 11:01 PM

I'm with Ken. Let's commit to each making 10 terrorists die today.

Posted by: Rita at September 11, 2003 at 07:32 AM

Agree with Rita. And to those of you who think its evil to cheer on the death of someone else, remember that these people want to wipe your sorry arse off the face of the earth.

It is either us or them and I prefer us. I am judgemental in that way. Kill or be killed, it is that simple.

This is my new meme: Let's make Ken smile today.

And Rita.

And Andrew.

In fact, a smile for everyone!

This is a link to this a page which has links to their blog, as well as email address. Got it from A Small Victory.

Just in case anyone could make use of such information....

I'm thinking fluffy bunnies and kittens tomorrow.

Anyone with me?

Are they kosher?

Posted by: CGHill at September 11, 2003 at 05:22 PM

Do the bunnies have switchblades and Glocks?

;-)

Posted by: Patrick Chester at September 11, 2003 at 10:23 PM

Yea, Sluggy! I actually had a mini-lop that resembled Bun-Bun, but he would use his teeth instead of a switchblade. Still have the scars. I wouldn't mess with homicidal bunnies if I were you.

Hm. I'd forgotten about this until I came back to Andrea's blog today.

Time to go post that bunny picture.

Elizabeth, it sounds like you might need to go out and buy a Holy Handgrenade.
