Posted by Andrea Harris at July 10, 2003 11:09 PMI expected the link was going to be to a news story about some really cool old lady (like the oone who is hoping the Cubs win another World Series like they did when she was 18), and was going to suggest that you wear purple. Or tie-dye, if purple really is overrated.

Posted by: Erica at July 11, 2003 at 12:19 AMMy local newspaper has done "Life Section" stories on the local chapter of the Red hat Society. Personally, I think the whole thing is really silly. And purple is my favorite color...but not with a stupid red hat!

But hey, what the hell. It's hot in Florida.
Posted by: Moira at July 11, 2003 at 11:40 PMWhy do we owe conformity of actions to the younger, if what we propose to do is non-harmful?! MB posits that we do not, for a red hat with purple trim is still far less offensive for viewing than a stud in a tongue!
