Forget something, Monsieur?

Charming. Those Frenchies sure are more cultured and civilized than us.

Oops, and so they are.

Prediction:

Liberal commentary on why the French are doing this, usually revolving around "Freedom Fries" and how Dubya has antagonized the world.

'Course, if we were to do such a thing at, say, Yorktown, these same idjits would be screaming about American know-nothing-ism.

Though I haven't been to New York yet, I would assume the Statue of Liberty has a commerative plaque indicating it was a gift from the French Government. I say the US throws it in the garbage in retaliation.

I believe the Statue was a gift from the French people to the American people, not government to government.

Yes, "freedom fries" justifies removing the American flag from the Normandy memorial museum. I see from the comments, some are trying to make that exact case as if something as innocuous and silly as "freedom fries" is equivalent to disrespecting the memory of thousamds of American servicemen who gave their lives in the liberation of France.
