They're read by a lot of lonely, pimply-faced geeks, but not by too many other people.
I tend to read them because I've always thought mental illness was kind of funny, but I'm a sick man.
Posted by: Richard Bennett at June 12, 2003 at 05:46 AMI recognize about two thirds of the names, but I've only read three of them more than once, and one of those three has been through links because he jumped into an issue and made some sweeping generalizations that others found offensive.
Andrew Sullivan and Instapundit are the two a-list bloggers on my daily read list. None of the others even catch my notice. Of course, if I was a vaguely lefty techno-utopian I might have more in common with these people...
BTW, I wonder why Rebecca Blood, Jason Kottke, Meg Hourihan, and Evan Williams were left off the list. I always thought they were some sort of blog royalty. (grin)
