If they want to allow annoynmous posts, then they shouldn't penalize the person for doing it, IMHO. Only seems fair.
The "Annonymous Coward" thing comes from Slashdot originally. "Annonymous Contributor" would sound better

And for such forums, where the anonymous access is often abused for trolling and abuse, it's very often perfectly accurate.
