The White Stripes backlash has begun!
(PS: I like the White Stripes and PJ Harvey. Can't we all just get along?)

I like them White Stripes just fine -- except for whatever godawful droning record my alleged friend Os Tyler made us listen to about 40 times on our Baja fishing trip last summer -- but hearing/seeing that one video always on the teevee this week, I kept thinking it sounded like something else. And finally, around the fifth time I saw the video, it hit me. It sounded *exactly like PJ Harvey's first couple of records. Same screamy fake-blues vocals, same scratchy guitar, same scary drone, maybe even the same song. And then I wondered, why'd we forget about PJ Harvey? Isn't she still good? Maybe she should play drums and have pigtails or something ....
