My wine

Hm.... I may just finish off this lovely bottle of Australian shiraz that I picked up in Publix... Anyway, here's a toast, to the Australians and New Zealandians-- Zealanders--- um, Kiwis for Anzac day, and a matching toast to Rosemary whose birthday it is, and also a toast to anyone else who is having a birthday today or just had a baby or got engaged or bought a new Playstation or---

(Glug, glug, glug.)

Andrea, there's another wonderful Australian Shiraz, by Rosemount. Less than $8 at Sam's Club, and just lovely. :)

I saw that too... I was torn... but the Black Swan was a dollar cheaper at the store I stopped at. It will be the Rosemount next week. :)

I can second the Rosemount suggestion. Great wine.

France can keep its (secondhand Californian--look up the 19th century vine blight) pretentious swill. There's plenty of good wine outside the Axis of Weasels, and plenty of good substitutes for German beer and yes, even Belgian beer, although that's the biggest sacrifice for me.
