So Andrea, you got tired of blogging and stopped? Sorry to hear it. Have a nice rest.

I want that house. [sigh]

I didn't say that.

The Holy Roman Empire was neither holy, nor Roman, nor an Empire.

I want that hobbit...and his Tookish cousin, too...

Is this an ROTK image? Don't remember seeing Frodo writing in the Red Book in Fellowship, but maybe I need to go watch it again.

Yeah, that's it. Need to watch it again, you know, just to make sure that image isn't in there, not because I'm obsessed or lame or anything...

Sigh.

Well, Alex, it actually WAS briefly a real empire, under Charlemagne. But it wasn't holy or Roman even then. :-p

But, Andrea, I need your firecracker-between-the-eyeballs observations to keep me awake in the office!

Here's hoping you're just taking the day off to do some site redesign ...

Tracey,

Yes, I think that's a "spoiler" (Spoiler? You've had 50 years to read the books, people) image from ROTK. Frodo is much neater than Bilbo, apparently. ... Or Rosie and Sam are.

Hobbit holes are all cute and homey, but Rivendell is better. (Geek fight!)

Posted by: Marm at March 28, 2003 at 10:12 AM

Marm, I'd pick Rivendell in a heartbeat! But I'm not picky -- Bag End would also do me quite nicely if the Elves didn't want me hanging out [g].

She must be writing a book. What's it about?
