Pre-Battle Speech

Finally, someone who knows how to orate. Skip the lead-up blather from the article writer and go down to the third paragraph where the quoted bit starts.

Odd seeing my name spelled out in a blog cite.

But it's a fine speech>

I wasn't sure how to refer to you. Should I use "***Dave"? Or should I just use "Dave"? Or the whole "***Dave Does the Blog"? Hey, you know, appearances count. (Was that like a Cheech and Chong routine or what?)

"Dave? Dave's not here."

I usually use "Dave," though a lot of folks go the "***Dave" route, or even the whole blog title. But that's cool -- call me whatever, but don't call me late for dinner.

This speech by Lt. Col. Tim Collins is rightfully posted widely. It will be remembered.

What will be forgetten is Patrick Nielsen Haydon at Electrolite using an edited version to bash George Bush. I don't understand. I don't understand. I don't understand. I'm going to give up trying to understand.
