I'm a little tied up right now

They came today and put the corset on me. I tried to struggle -- but they had guns. Now I have to wear this American Burqa night and day or my cat will be fed to weasels. Can't breathe... must breathe...

[*Update:* by the way, in case you were wondering, that's not me, it's Little Nell in the part of Columbia from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. You're lucky -- I could have posted this picture instead. And no, even in my gothest Goth moments I refused to wear a corset.]

The linked article is a mild example of the anti-feminine tendencies of the feminist Left. Much worse is out there.

For the record, I advise against wearing a corset or stiletto heels to the office, the assembly line, the laundromat, the firehouse, or the firing range. But alluring, body-modifying feminine fashions will always be with us, and they have their place: settings in which attracting the interest of a man is the woman's highest priority.

And they're not burq'as, Miss Rosen. Muslim women are forced to wear burq'as -- by Muslim men who have coercive power over them and will punish them horribly for any deviation. So enough of the burq'a comparisons!

It was great when it all began...

Um, ah, er...G-d bless America!

Hmmm, now that I see the result of imposed corset-wearing, I think we as a society, a la the Taliban, may very well have to mandate these being worn at all times, along with the underwear, stockings and boa....

and nothing else!

How do I put a quatloo in that girl's thong?

I stand with Mr. Russell. I am wholly in favor of the new policy and stand ready to help the authorities in any way necessary to help bring the new policy into widespread compliance.

By the way: Rose-tints my world, keeps me safe from mah trubble and payne....

(Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

The moral of the story is: corsets -- they make even Little Nell look good. (You guys are lucky I couldn't find a decent body shot of Tim Curry as Dr. Frankenfurter or Barry Bostwick as Brad.)
