ah, nature

'Scuse me folks, I'm going to go wash my car while there is still a little light out. (Note to self: do not park car under tree in neighborhood where people feed the birds and squirrels popcorn and sesame seeds.)

Update: where people feed the birds and squirrels that birdfood that consists of sesame seeds bound together with some sort of sticky, honey-like substance. Jeebus. I'm so glad our furry and feathered friends are getting plenty of fiber in their diets.

Be lucky they weren't grackles... Jackson Polluck time!

Actually it is grackles. They infest this entire state. We also have cardinals, blue jays, mocking birds, and those tiny little sparrow things. And squirrels.

Something's got to eat all those lizards.

Andrea, maybe you need more cats.

I think they are in league with the squirrels.

Ah, grackels, foul noisy beasts of the air. We used to get an infestation of them every year in our holly tree. Of course they would send out search and destroy parties to "cover" every vehicle within sight of that tree. We tried firecrackers and shotguns, but they'd always come back when we went inside. The only thing that got rid of them was when the holly tree got knocked over in a storm. I don't know where they went, but good riddance.
