Posted by: Rita at February 17, 2003 at 10:46 PMI've been working on a translation program that looks for common idiot buzzwords (ie, "Bush Junta, etc) and depending on numerical frequency of the idiot words, will automatically translate what they've written into a randomly-generated block of pre-programmed text (ie, "Atlanta makes it against the law to tie a giraffe to a lamp-post or telephone pole")
I've been testing it out locally on my machine and it seems to be working fairly well. When I have the time, I think I might figure out a way to implement it in MT.
Ironically enough, I got almost all of my idiot word list mostly from LaCarre's recent piece and the collective works of one ljuteFisk.
