United we stand

Not all European leaders are against action against Saddam Hussein. For instance, these leaders:

Messrs. Aznar, Durão Barroso, Berlusconi, Blair, Medgyessy, Miller and Fogh Rasmussen are, respectively, the prime ministers of Spain, Portugal, Italy, the U.K., Hungary, Poland and Denmark. Mr. Havel is the Czech president.

Seems like everyone's linked this one. Well, we all should.

I'm still getting comments from people who say the U.S. is acting alone and even accusing Bush of lying when he says we'll be part of a coalition. Amazing.

Shame on you, Dean. Don't you know that France and Germany get to define the "international community?"

Unilateralism is spreading.

The Polish Prime Minister is named Miller?

Nope, no sign of the Axis of Weasels.

Did you know that the French word for weasels is "Blaireaux"? Seriously! I read it in a bilingual post on the "Merde in France" blog.

I guess they must be really peeved at Tony, huh? And I don't think we even want to KNOW what a "Busheaux" might be!

This letter is hardly what you make it out to be. It doesn't advocate war against Iraq, and doesn't pledge military support from the respective countries. It also insists on "international cohesion" for "preserving international peace and security" rather than unilateral license to wage war--seems like a diplomatic refutation to Bush SOTU address.
