What Would Actors Drive? -- especially ones who support the anti-SUV campaign? Well, it seems that a lot of them drive... SUVs.

I guess I really AM a psychic, because I knew this was coming as soon as I heard about the ads.

See my comments at A Small Victory.

Celebs should practice what they preach when the follow the latest activist publicity stunt.

What a bunch of bullshit.

Now, now, "practicing what you preach" is for the little people, not the celebs who are Our Betters.

This reminds me of Rosie and her anti-gun attitude for us unwashed masses, but of course her Holy and Child-Protecting bodyguards could be "armed and dangerous."

Anyone stupid enough to rely on actors, musicians and government officials to form their personal opinions on what they should do or how they should think gets exactly what they deserve. Me? I just go to my Magic 8 Ball.

The really classic bit is the Chevy Chase flack's comment about "they only use it to tow trailers" or whatever BS, which implies that Chevy has a bunch of other vehicles to use for other needs. And absolutely no energy was consumed in building all of those other vehicles that sit in Chevy's enormous garage, of course. Reminds me of the bit I once read about some equally dipshit actor who had an electric car because he was so environmentally aware and all--it was one of the 15 or so cars that he owned.

To paraphrase Robin Williams in Aladdin (yes, I have a small child): Stupidity! It's everywhere! Get used to it!
