LONG WEEK AHEAD

Jesus, what a game. Read all about it. And if you’re of a non-Collingwood mindset, here’s a happy song as a distraction.

Which I could have used late on Saturday. I’m usually a calm person; I’ve landed light aircraft, done live TV, driven racing cars, all without undue spiking of the heart rate. Yet football finals involving Collingwood induce seizure-level anxiety (seriously -- we're talking hyperventilation here). So when Collingwood had the match easily won with 15 minutes still to play, well, I didn’t know what the hell to do. My emotional repetoire doesn’t extend that far.

I ended up trying to invent a new form of barbecue sauce. Cooking is excellent therapy.

Just remember one thing Tim, 1970

Believe me, nic, I do. And '77, and '79, and '80, and '81, and '02. Whatever doesn't kill me makes me stronger.

Interesting thing about 1970 -- our halftime lead was 44 points, which was the margin in both this year's prelims.

Ah, Collingwood...at last we meet again for the first time for the last time!

Wait...

Wise move not having a major gloat after the Pies big win. No sense having to eat humble pie if they lose the big one.

My therapy involves lots of alcohol. Works, too!

Hey Tim, exactly how much of a dickhead is Nathan Buckley going to feel when the Lions win the Grand Final again?? I must admit, if I left a team because I wanted to play finals and then the team that I left won three in a row, I would feel like a total tosser. :-)

If Collingwood win (which they wont), I am confident that Leigh wont go the blubber like that deadbeat Malthouse. That was pathetic.

Actually, we wont have to wait til Saturday for the tears, no doubt that idiot Rocca will turn on the waterworks on Tuesday.

Lions by 36.

Nah, Unit, my money's on Bucks for tears tonight.Whether he wins or loses the Brownlow. And if he does win, are we to witness Eddie giving him a tonguie? Urgh!!

The Pies will lose Rocca tonight and with him will go their chances on Saturday.
