Well, I piled half the contents of my bedroom and closet on top of my bed, and my cat is now reclining on top of the mountain, and the rest of the stuff is shoved haphazardly into the “dining room.” All this so the carpet people could finish doing the carpet, which is now nice and clean. I am currently testing a hot tea maker I bought at Walmart. I have just about every different way of making tea now — in-cup filters, a number of teapots, a thermal tea carafe with a filter, etc. Ah, gadgets. My next purchase may be an espresso maker, finally, and I’ve got my eye on this Mr. Coffee model at my favorite exploiter of Chinese political prisoners. But such is the state of my income that I can only make so many frivolous purchases per paycheck.
I notice with dismay that Everything Is Illuminated seems to have vanished from theaters in my area. This pisses me off, because I had actually wanted to see that movie; it looked quirky without being too twee, there is of course my lust for hot nerds, and what I read of it reminded me of those bizarre foreign children’s films that used to be on tv on Saturday mornings when I was a kid. I forget the name of the show, and I think it was on PBS, though it may not have been — when I was a kid, there was no such thing as cable, you had a limited amount of channels to choose from, we had to walk uphill in a snowstorm to get the good shows, blah blah blah.
Oh, did I say there would be different and more interesting stuff on the site? Heh heh, suckers.
Update: *snork* — the way the categories for this post are listed reads “stuff me.”
