US interference in Latin American politics
...is okay when Obama does it. Seriously, this is just shameful. How disgusting.

Okay, now I want President Chicxulub impeached, the gone dim bar steward.
Posted by McGehee on 10/30 at 11:36 AMPersonally, I think it’s okay no matter which president does it. If other countries don’t want us interfering in their affairs they can bloody well behave themselves. But I do get tired of all the finger pointing and double standards. You know… “You shouldn’t interfere but when we do it it’s different.”
Posted by Lynn on 10/30 at 01:22 PMIt would also be nice that when we mouth concerns about how other world governments are misbehaving, we didn’t then decide that we’re okay with that particular misbehavior when we change presidents. (If you haven’t been following the Honduras events, the president that got kicked out, Zelaya, had tried to override his country’s constitution so he could get elected for a second term. The Obama administration decided to get all chesty about that because suddenly we apparently aren’t all that into other countries trying to stick to their own laws. I can’t tell you what a thrill it is to find out that Obamaco is okay with a country’s leader deciding he wants to override his country’s constitution, especially the part concerning term limits. Oh—and this guy is a buddy of stellar world figures like Venezuela’s Chavez, who is well on the way to turning his country into a second Cuba. We really know how to pick ‘em.)

Which pleases me if true.
