Why I want a comments registration system

To stave off crap like this. I'm sick of garbage like this on blogs I run, taking up valuable server space, and (often) enticing other commenters to start pointless arguments with assheads who like as not should be chained to their beds with thorazine drips in their arms.

I've thought about it too, especially after seeing the new comment registration system John Hawkins uses. Seems to work and it would cut down on the hassle I'd think.

pMachine has a good registration system. It also has a built in comment reply/email subscription system. Or you could just wait til MT pro comes out. I hear it will have registration.

Ok, I feel dumb. All the above was mentioned a few blog entries back. Nevermind.

But um, regarding paying for pMachine Pro...anyone who already has it can email you the zip file. Not that good, honest people would do such a thing. I'm just sayin it's theoretically possible ;)

Eh, don't worry about it. It's not really that expensive. What's really holding me off is the fact that converting my blogs to another format would be a real pain at this point, so I have to explore what might be other, simpler (and cheaper) avenues to my dilemma.

Yeah, switching blogging tools is a PITA. Done it a number of times. Most recently tried PostNuke, and quickly ditched it. Ugh. One of these days someone will make a tool that has all the best features from all the others rolled into one.

Still, if you you want to give pm pro a test drive, someone could, hypothetically, send you the zip file. :)
