Posted by Andrea Harris at August 11, 2003 07:02 PMSeems to me the aversion to pictures or even mentions of 9/11 details resembles the aversion of the American public for a couple of decades after the fall of Saigon to any mention of the details of the Vietnam War. Sure, the academics and leftists went over and over it, but the subject disappeared from the popular culture. It just hurt too much. That will pass.
