Moore teevee

Wow, Michael Medved and that guy on MSNBC's Scarborough Country show really just slammed Michael Moore up against the wall. "Liar," Fraud," and so on. Cable teevee has gotten fun.

Of course, everything they are talking about has already been talked about in blogs. (The Minuteman mascot hullabaloo at UMass, Senator and ex-Kleagle Byrd's hypocritical huffing over the president's wearing "military" regalia when he flew on that fighter jet to the carrier, and so on.)

Blogdom: show prep for the talking heads.

Heh. The flapdoodle isn't working. Radio show this morning gave a few other examples of past "photo ops" - Clinton spending $30 mil to do a carrier photo op (during the Lewinsky hearings), Johnson actually ordering a carrier from port out to sea to do the landing, Kennedy sending a military jet to bring along his bimbo.

Looks like Bush makes for a pretty cheap Democrat.

Didn't FDR have a USN cruiser take him on a multi-day fishing trip?

David, I haven't heard that story. I'm a little dubious about trying to fish from a cruiser - PT boat maybe. But there is a true story about FDR sending a ship to get his dog. I saw a film clip of his press conference afterward when he turned it back on the critics. Paraphrased and not as funny as the original:

"My critics have attacked me, they have attacked my family, and now they have attacked my dog.

Now I don't mind being criticized. My family doesn't mind being criticized.

But Fala minds!"
