France and the EU

The French have been naughty. Yes, I know -- die of shock. The continuing revelations that the French have been Saddam Hussein's bagmen is not surprising. But it seems as if they are even screwing over their EU buddies. More and more, France's obsession with this European Union thing is beginning to look like that of a woman who really, really wants to get married but just can't seem to stop cheating on her fiancé.

Nnnno. Puts me in mind of the subject of the song Killer Queen. Whom I always picture as a 70-ish crone who manages to get hip young people to hang around with her because a fool and her money soon attract a crowd.

Lol, best description of the French viz the EU I have ever seen. They love to put it new daft laws in Brussels yet never seem to be able to adhere to them. Oh and they love calling for boycotts, but dont pay attention to them either.

Andrew, I think you realize this, but saying the French are unable to adhere to the very EU-nonsense they propose is overly charitable. Of course they CAN; they just DON'T.

Are we talking about the same peace-loving, international-law-abiding French who have unilaterally, and without UN sanction or even debate, invaded two countries already this year?
