Chirac's phone call to Bush

Why am I so sure that it really did go something like this? Except Jacques probably said something a lot fruitier than "dude" all the time. I'll bet he kept saying "Mon vieux." That's what the French dudes say when they are trying to be chummy.

I'd hope that Dubya gave Chirac a strongly worded directive about posterior osculation, but, inasmuch as he's a plainspoken Texan, he probably used one-syllable words. Anyway, I'm sure the message crossed the Atlantic loud and clear.
