Ooh, I'm blogging from my HP Jornada Handheld PC! Now all I have to do is get a wireless card and then there will be no place safe from my blogging!
I have also noticed that the blog looks like ass in the tiny little WinCE version of IE. Oh well.
Posted by Andrea Harris at April 6, 2003 06:45 PMAndrea, you HAVE to get MultiIE...it "integrates" with Pocket IE and allows you to open multiple windows and do a few other things that make it worthwhile.
FWIW, 3-column MT blogs generally show up very well on my Audiovox Maestro...NO scrolling left/right at all! And you're right, once you get a wireless card, you might as well just resign your position as a functioning member of society...I can surf & blog non-stop, all day & night, in bed, in the garage, in the WC, wherever!
Posted by: David at April 6, 2003 at 10:13 PMWill it work in the HP Jornada Handheld PC 680? It's not a palmtop I have, but this older model. It's got a whatever WinCE 2.0 comes with.
Posted by: Andrea Harris at April 6, 2003 at 10:54 PMCan you hack a website from it, though?
[erm---no 720? it's 10x nicer than that 680...or I thought so, anyway]
Posted by: Scott Chaffin at April 7, 2003 at 12:02 AMI'm an 820 fan myself...so much so that I just now received my new "spare" 820 from the snow-covered UPS man. The 820 has a bigger screen and a bigger keyboard than the 720, but it's still dinkier than the smallest laptop, and HP did a great job with the teeny touchpad. I've been getting 12+ hours of use per charge out of it (that's with no PCMCIA accessories running, of course).
Not only that, but you can get them for around $250 on eBay...720s are still up around $400-$500.
