Heartbreak Hotel for Bloggers

So that's why there haven't been any updates to Daimnation! or Tim Blair's blog today -- Blogspot is potty, and they've been given a temporary home on Blogs of War. I hope this leads to a realization for those two of how wonderful running MT on one's own server space is. I need my daily updates of Aussie and Canadian snark.

Well that's good. Let me know when the URL is ready -- I tried to go the the Blogspot site but of course -- well, you know, Blogspot.

It sucks, however, when your webhost has been down for SIX DAYS.

Yes, I'm bitter. And yes, I'm in the process of switching hosts as we speak.

I wondered what happened. A lot of hosting services seem to be crumbling these days. So far only my service (Cornerhost -- they host SgtStryker.com, and they were able to bring the site back up pretty soon after it got temporarily wiped out after being mentioned on some Big News site), and Hosting Matters (which hosts a lot of big blogs like Instapundit) have seemed to hold up. Good luck with the new one.

The other good one seems to be the one Ken Layne, Matt Welch and that bunch are hosting with. (Can't recall their name.)
That said, I'm pretty happy with Hosting Matters.
