Why am I doing this?

You want to know the real reason? No, it's not because I want to hear that bit from "All That Jazz" ten thousand times. It's not even to see actors attempt to enunciate coherent political views (and melt down pitifully). It's so I won't have to work on this paper that is due in class tomorrow. I have to read two Annie Dillard essays. One is about weasels (the animal, not the French). I just can't do it.

Looks like I'm going to pull another all-nighter. I wonder if there are going to be a lot of "I got sick over Spring Break" absences.

Good luck on your papers!

Good luck on the adrenaline - I hope you can get the paper done.

I've just finished a rebuttal to a rejection by the US Patent Office. (They had a silly reason, really, though it will help the case. Don't know whether to thank them or flip 'em the finger...) It's nearly 1:30 am, and I'm fried. Signing off. Gotta be a Dad and Husband again tomorrow to a super family.

And yeah - the Turks had better BACK THE FUCK UP. I think this war is going to clarify one hell of a lot of relationships.

I hope you survive the Dillard essays – people keep telling me that she’s a great writer, wonderful imagery, yada, yada, but when I glanced at one of her books (Tinker Creek?) it was really dull. Hopefully, I just got a bad first impression. Maybe she’s not all that bad.
