According to the Suman Palit, the start of the war took all the news biggies by surprise, and they aren't happy about it. What did they expect, an engraved invitation? Never mind, don't answer that.
Posted by Andrea Harris at March 20, 2003 12:30 AMYeah, I noticed that last night. The anchors on Fox seemed a little miffed that we blew something up, because they had received "Personal assurances" that the war wouldn't start until Thursday night.
Well, I'm sure we can all agree that the Pentagon, when forced to choose between possibly blowing up a bad guy or waiting because Britt Hume might get pissy, made a very bad choice.
