I haven't been getting hate mail, but have been getting odd and idiotic messages, mostly of an ad hominem nature (anyone think an argument is substantive when it's based entirely on making fun of the other guy's name?).

(I really should have set my blogs up to use the MySql database I have, and that way I could implement an MT plugin that enables one to close multiple posts at once, but I've been too lazy to do it. Then I realized that (A) few people but me will see comments on such old articles, and (B) something good might show up in one of them.
In fact, I've had two experiences where something old I wrote turned up a comment I was excited to get. One by a Chinese dissident, and another by someone conducting a human rights campaign. I mean, what the hell, you just never know what'll show up.
I've also got people posting messages to an old "I hate Andrea Harris" article I wrote well over 6 months ago, from a couple of goobers who want to bash you. I'm mostly letting them have at it, since no one's reading it but the two of them. It appears that you're mean to stupid people, Andrea. %-)

Not only are they obtuse and repetitive (that's why I banned them, not because I "disagreed" with their august points of view) they are stupid -- they obviously thought your entry was set up to bash me! I'd put up a link to the post but I rather doubt you want a fight started on a six-month old comment.
I wonder if they've gone to all the websites owned by other Andrea Harrises (there are others) and harrassed them thinking they are me...
