Doogie Howser goes goth

Okay, now this is scary. Not only does Neil Patrick Harris resemble my ex in the top photo, but he looks... totally unlike any of his previous roles in the one further down. Needless to say.

Further weirdnesses about this production of Cabaret: Debbie Gibson is playing the role of Sally Bowles. Okay, time to look for an mp3 of Mojo Nixon's "Debbie Gibson is Pregnant With My Two-Headed Love Child."

Update: it would help if I provided the link, wouldn't it? (Added to the top line also.)

Is she back to calling herself "Debbie"? There was a period (starting more or less around her 27th birthday - she is now 32) when she insisted on "Deborah".

Still, she's paid dues on Broadway the last decade or so, while no one (except yours truly and a handful of diehards) bought her records.

I'm still getting over Doogie wearing a Gestapo outfit in Starship Troopers.

Oh, come on. The Emcee getup is much hotter than the Nazi getup.

I gotta agree. Emcee all the way. Though normally I love a man in a uniform, those Gestapo togs are just a little too too much, know what I mean?

Agh! My eyes! See, my brother and NPH look a lot a like, so the bottom picture is just.. shudder... I have no words!

Harris looks a bit like Larry Mullen, Jr. in drag from the Achtung Baby era.

Minus the utter look of embarrassment, of course.

If you want another interesting view of him check Kevin Smith's Chasing Dogma graphic novel. This is a prequel of Jay & Silent bob's adventure leading up to Dogma. Literally. The last panel goes direct to the first point they appear in the film.

Anyway's Neil Patrick Harris appears as a director of high-brow porn in the unused portions of a hospital. I don't think he actually auditioned for the part, though.
