Perhaps it is because I'm currently reading Churchill's The Gathering Storm, the first volume of his work Second World War, and I'm on the chapter recounting Munich in '38, but I think an Obama presidency will put us on a significantly more dangerous path. On the other hand, I really want to see the end of Clinton as a viable political name. On the other (other) hand, I would really have to hold my nose to vote for the presumptive GOP nominee, but, as you say, what are you gonna do?
I'm reading more buzz of McCain choosing Bobby Jindal as his running mate. I really like Jindal, but I'm hoping he says in LA for awhile longer. I'm thinking it would be very beneficial in another 4 years to be able to point to a successful, revitalized, post-Katrina LA achieved via more conservative governmental policies than have Jindal tied to the policies of a McCain administration.
