About

Okay, you all know who I am. I was born and raised in Florida, and I finally escaped the tropical paradise this past June for the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. I was surrounded by theme parks, malls, and suburbia; now I’m in the middle of Victorian homes, farmland, and mountains. I didn’t just have to learn to drive all over again, I had to learn to walk all over again. Everything here seems to be up a steep staircase or steeper hill… Anyway, I’m semi-unemployed (currently I’m a substitute teacher for the Augusta County School Board on an on-call basis temporarily employed via an agency) and looking for work that will pay a living wage, but in the meantime I fool around on this site and attempt to write fiction and more serious (well…) essays.

About the site: after ages of hopping around from one url to another, I’ve finally come to my home sweet home in the root directory of Spleenville.com. After considering some other blogging systems, I decided to go back to Wordpress, which is really well-supported right now. My goal is to keep the site focused on my words, not flashy effects and design. The blog is the main focus, but there are other sections containing sample chapters of my novels, my stories, and essays, which can be reached from the page navigation in the header or (depending on which theme I’m using) the sidebar or footer menu. Feel free to look around the site! That’s what it’s on the internet for.
