Note to self: don’t lick any flagpoles today
Update: yays! I got a call from my supervisor: she said our lot probably isn’t cleared off of all the snow, the roads may not all be clear yet, etc., so I should come in around noon to give them time to clear the snow away. Huzzah!
Guess what I’ve got to go out in in about fifteen minutes:
I have about two blocks to walk to the covered parking lot where I left my car. Let’s see if I make it before I freeze solid.

A simple solution to the “freezing while walking” problem:
Don’t walk. Run.

I made it through the day. But it’s left me like this:

You mean “skid and fall on your butt.” I think I’ll tie all my pillows to myself before I go out tomorrow.

I’ve never enjoyed nor endured such conditions having lived in the tropics for most of my life. I’m surprised that no one has invented spiky shoes of some kind, for walking/running in such conditions?

Actually, Mehaul, you can buy spikes to strap on your soles.

One thing about such abysmal weather – mulled wine was invented for such.

I’ve just gotten over a cold and still have the sinus crap. Once that’s finally gone I’m going to invest in a bottle or two and make some, you bet. But right now I’ve been drinking spiced tea.
