At the very least I found the relationship between Rose and the Doctor as played by Eccleston a lot more — not believable, but suitable. In real life a chav like Rose wouldn’t have been attracted to a skinny metrosexual guy like Tennant’s Doctor. Otherwise both actors had their strengths and weaknesses. My Doctor will always be Tom Baker. He never would have gone all emo, dead Time Lords or no, for any of his companions, except maybe Romana — but she was a member of his own race.
Anyway, how about that Time Lord strut across the big Lord of the Rings bridge? “Sure, Daleks are bombing our city, but the hell we aren’t going to put on our best robes and walk calmly through the fire as if we were on a stroll in a meadow.” Time Lords are badass.

Was that Timothy Dalton?

Yup. He plays the narrator in both episodes of “The End of Time”.

The gal who’s second from the right (sitting at the table) looks exactly like my sister-in-law Marge.
Other than that … I miss Eccleston. That’s all.
